Hey there, I’m Mary!
I received my first camera for Christmas when I was seven years old. I immediately started taking photos of everything I could.
Three Reasons I Turned My Passion for Photography into My Profession
- Children. Kids grow up so fast and capturing them at every stage in photos gives us something tangible to hold onto.
- Parents. I lost my dad in an accident when I was 18 years old. As I rummaged through years of pictures of him I quickly realized that I had very few recent pictures of him and none of him with me.
- You. I believe that your life is important to document. Your moments deserve a photographer who values your memories as much as you do.
Hit Me With Your Best Fact…Fire Away
- I was born on Mother’s Day in Missoula, MT, but raised in Glasgow, MT.
- I have a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Elementary Education.
- I believe that mental health matters and use my battles with mental health to help others.
- I grew up swimming competitively for the Glasgow Kiwanis Swim Team and swam in college at the University of South Dakota.
- I have lived in eight states (MT, NM, SD, VA, MD, NY, NJ, ND).
- Diet Pepsi is not only my favorite drink, but somewhat of a family obsession.
- I quit drinking alcohol 19 years ago and am an ally for others overcoming addiction.
- I love sports and am a basketball referee.
- Michael Jordan was my childhood hero.
